Sleeved and Sleeveless Dresses

Sleeved dresses can be just as stylish as sleeveless dresses, and both can be great additions to your wardrobe. Long-sleeved dresses come in all lengths and styles to fit all body types.

1. Empire waist dresses – These dresses hit above the natural waistline to create a long, lean, flowing look. They work well with and without sleeves and are nearly universally flattering but are especially attractive on women with larger hips, pear-shaped bodies, or hourglass figures.

2. Sleeved and sleeveless wrap dresses – Wrap dresses are also universally flattering. This classic style wraps around the front of the body and clasps at the hip with a well-defined neckline and close-to-the-waistline fit. Sleeves can keep this look dressy and office-friendly, while a sleeveless version offers the dress a hint of daring sex appeal. This look is especially attractive on curvier body types, but can also create curves on women with less curvy figures.

3. Tee shirt dress – Tee shirt dresses are the ultimate in comfort with a soft fabric and easy fit. With sleeves, this dress can go anywhere and do anything. Without sleeves, it can be your ultimate relaxed lounge dress. With a body-friendly fit, the classic T-dress can work for nearly any figure.

Regardless of the type of dress you choose, adding a few accessories can give it a more personalized flair. Bright colors or prints can increase the “wow” factor, and you can experiment with high heels or strappy sandals, statement necklaces, pretty bangles, and handmade tassels.
